Grade 7 - Grade 9 [EV3 MINDSTORM ROBOTS]

Senior Robotic Engineers

OUR MISSION FOR OUR YOUNG ENTHUSIASTIC YOUTHS

To foster Innovation and Curiosity by making STEM & ROBOTICS fun and practical.

I Listen and I Forget

I See and I Remember

I Do and I Understand

This program is especially designed for kids in 7th Grade – 9th Grade. It introduces and encourages the Concept of Learning in a fun way while building and coding, failing and succeeding and in the process learning an important life skill – PERSISTENCE! We provide an environment to experiment with new technologies and concepts with challenging robotics projects related to our real world. We endeavour to transform learning as interesting as playing video games for this age group of kids.

Robotics technology is a pillar of 21st-century innovation. It highlights the growing importance in a wide variety of applications and emphasizes its ability to inspire technology education. In our senior engineer’s program, students work in pairs to develop their products and in the process learn to write technical specifications, design, build, code, debug, test and eventually present their product to their class and instructors!

Tuition Fee : $215/6weeks

**There is a one-time registration-fee of $25 for new students
  • Referral Discount Offer: If you refer our program to anyone, then in the next session you get 10% off your tuition fees
  • Sibling Discount Offer: If you enroll more than one child in our robotics programs, then next session onwards you get 10% off on the second child every session

Our robotics program is curtailed in sessions. Each Session comprises of 6 weeks program. The first 5 minutes of each class is focused on training students for critical thinking and learning to think outside the box and the last week of the session is focused to train students for presenting their work to the class and learn and practice presentation skills. The goal is to inspire and motivate our students for public speaking with confidence and to achieve these skills in a fun learning environment.

How does our Program encapsulate the benefit of going beyond the comfort zone?

W

98% of people live in their comfort zone!

But what if you want to be part of the 2% who live outside your comfort zone? What does that look like? How do you get there? We encourage students to think and ponder about project specifications that have been given to the entire batch – how can you make your product look unique and stand out !

W

Take calculated risks and experience success

Even if you make mistakes or don’t get it right the first time those become experiences you can tap into in the future. There really is no such thing as “fail” if you get something out of the experience. And just so you know, “FAIL” re-framed means “First Attempt in Learning.” During the robotic product development or its programming, if you do not succeed at first – it has just added one more valuable lesson to your knowledge.

We enforce the saying: POSITIVE THOUGHTS BREEDS POSITIVE RESULTS

W

Challenging yourself

You have no idea what you’re made of unless and until you venture outside of your own familiar world. If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you ….and CHANGE IS GROWTH! During our classes, we challenge our students to make products applied to real life with providing them with limited resources or challenge them to refine their programs by reducing the number of lines of code or reducing the time taken by the program to run.

“I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job – BECAUSE He will find an easy way to do it !”

– Bill Gates

W

Embrace the Unknown

Being at ease with not knowing is crucial for answers to come to you. To accept that not knowing is normal is healthy. Our curriculum encourages our students to find answers and helps them learn how to overcome instant gratification and make better choices. During mechanical design of the robots or during the debugging of programs instead of immediately acting on an impulse when it arises, we teach students to take a pause. We encourage kids to create some space between their urge and their action – another life skill !

W

Prioritize Time-Management

Have you ever wondered how it is that some people seem to have enough time to do everything that they want to, whereas others are always rushing from task to task, and never seem to finish anything? It cannot just be that some people have less to do. It’s much more likely that they are using their time more effectively: in other words, showing good time management skills. As we progress in our robotics sessions, we teach our teams to make a timeline for their products, right from product idea to product presentation. Do they succeed every time ? NO. Do they learn from every time their goals are not met because of poor time-management? YES.
During the course, our students learn that “Yes, time sure does fly by, but the good thing is that they are the pilot !”

W

Go for your DREAMS

The bottom line for nearly everyone is that we want to feel we have value, and that we achieve our goals in Life. Our dreams may be huge or they may be modest, but when we expect the best, there’s no way we’re going to settle for second best. We encourage our students to take an aerial view of their Dreams and then work toward it by taking their very first step outside their comfort zone.
What dreams are calling you to move beyond your comfort zone?

You are capable of so much more than you ever believed!
